Fan Culture and Tribe Mentality

Dear Sir/Madame,


Hundreds of years ago neighboring tribes would occasional meet up and beat the crap out of each other. And some things never change. Modern fan culture is closely related to early days tribalism, Professor Desmond Morris claimed years back. The match between Italy and Serbia this fall is just one of the cases where the theory proves itself.
